So we’ve all heard about it, but when is the 3G iPhone actually coming? The estimated release date remains to be June 9th of this year, although Apple has made no comment on the new version of their popular iPhone, or when it will actually be available to the public. AT&T’s CEO, Randall Stephenson stated last year that “You’ll have it next year”. The new 3G version is expected to be released soon and only one year after the release of the original iPhone. Walt Mossberg, technology columnist for The Wall Street Journal, made his prediction during a summit held by Beet.TV. He believes that the 3G iPhone will be released within the next couple of weeks, or as he stated back in March, “It will be 3G in 60 days.”
Of course since Apple has made no comment on when or even if the new 3G iPhone will be available, rumor mills are running wild with estimations that put it in the public’s hands anytime between now and the end of this year. The only real way to know when the new second generation iPhone will hit the market is to watch the stores.
