Apple’s New York Fifth Avenue retail store, which is typically a 24-hour store, was closed down this week. Rumors began flying that the reason for this closing was so that Apple could film the new commercial for the upcoming 3G iPhone, which is rumored to be introduced this Monday. Prior to the closing, Apple did report that the store would be closing on Thursday afternoon and open again on Friday morning, although no details about the closing were released. The reason for the rumors is because this store has only been closed twice since its original opening; for the launches of the iPhone and the Leopard.
